Festival of Arts 2026

These art pieces by photographer Hugh Foster are being showcased at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts during the summer of 2026. All these images are available to be collected as prints and framed art for installation.

Life and art have never lived apart. These photographs are not autobiography, but they rise from the same restless ground—fear, longing, hope, and the beautiful habit of getting things wrong. Even as I reach toward something better, I remain tethered to the flawed business of being human.

Whether made within the quiet certainty of a studio or beneath an indifferent sky, these images search for meaning rather than answers. I ask little of the viewer except to enter them willingly and leave carrying a story that belongs entirely to their own heart..
